About

Naive Harmonies (American punctuation) is a music blog based in Washington, DC (aka “the greatest place to be”). We write about the stuff we love, when we love it. No muss, no fuss, no spills.

Some guy named Reid is the primary writer, with once-in-a-while writing from a guy who goes by xtiandc, and once-long-ago posts from some character called limocrazy, who moved to New York and, like all people who move to New York, was never heard from again.

Audio

The songs are downsampled and only kept on the site for a short time (usually about a month) and then the links expire and the songs are taken down. So act fast. If you want them taken down even faster than that, use the contact form to let us know what should be taken down.

Columns

Posting is a la carte, which in this context, means nothing. There are several columns, though, that go more or less like this:

Fine Tune Friday: The best song in the world this week, handpicked by Mr. Are Seven and put on display like some beauty pageant winner/whore.

Stacks: Songs, genres and artists from deep in our libraries to yours.

Debate Club: Opinion, and lots of it. Opposing viewpoints are highly recommended here.

New Music: music that’s new and good enough to point out but that may have missed the song of the week designation.
